Email capture

Spoton development team have produced a stand alone small customer relational databse that can be added to any website to capture e-mail addresses.

The object is to entice the viewer to leave their e-mail address and option to you contacting them with information at a later date.

You have to be above board and only obtain the address by providing them with either a download or information they want and ask for.

When sending information at a later date you must also give them the option of opting out from further information being sent.

And it will send mails as well.

The database not only holds the e-mails from your website it also allows you to add e-mail addresses from other data sources.

The data base will then send up to 250 mails per day or at a given time frame allowed by your Inrternet Service Provider.

You are not allowed by any Internet Service Provider in the UK to send out more than they will allow you to do.

The risk in doing this can result in you being cut off by your Internet Service Provider.

You also have to be careful in sending mails with images as in many cases firewalls can block this type of mail.

Better that your e-mail directs the person by a link to your website where you can provide the information, advert or offer.
